Zac and Soccer State Playoffs 2017

Rampart's first game of the State Playoffs didn't end quite how we hoped it would, but we are incredibly proud of Zac and the Rams for continuing to fight when the team was down and delivering a solid second half.  After one of our defenders scored an own goal early on, the first half was shot and we went down 0-5.  It was a frigid, windy, snowy night, and throughout the first half, the Rams had the snow blowing right into their faces on the defense, which added to the rockiness of the start.  The boys rallied after halftime though, and it should be said that after Zac went in at the end of the first half, the opposing team went scoreless--and remained so for the rest of the game with Zac on the field.  Zac always goes out there and gives his 100% and it makes a difference, which is wonderful and makes us so proud, but it is also frustrating that his coach doesn't seem to see it.  The team ended the night losing 3-5, but it was so good to see them fight and gain that 2nd half.  We are thankful for Nana, Cami and Alea, who stuck it out through the whole, freezing thing!  It was a great run, Rams!

Congratulations on your hard-played season, Zac!  You have given a lot of heart and soul, effort and strength to this team.  You have sacrificed other things you enjoy for the love of the game and your teammates.  You are a tough competitor and a talented player, but also the most quality human on that field.  We are so proud of you and admire your character and determination so much!
