Ben at Colorado State Cross Country Meet 2017

Ben and the Rams had an incredible day at the State Cross Country Championships.  The boys took 3rd in the State in the 5A division, and the girls 8th.  Yes!  Hooray for the Rams!  Ben had a new 5k PR, peaking just at the right time: he finished in 16:31, 4th for the Rams and 31st overall in the state.  This is the best State finish that ANY Rampart team has had certainly since the early 1990's, possibly even the 1980's.  So impressive to have witnessed it!  Looking at results from the other divisions, not only was Ben the fastest 5A freshman, he was the top freshman finisher in the state of Colorado!  WOW!  It has been the season of dreams.  What a gift it has been for Ben to be a part of this fantastic team, filled with the greatest kids, for his freshman year.  Next year will look a lot different for Ben, with the rest of the top 5 varsity boys graduating this year.  We've been sucking up the goodness of this season for all it is worth.  Congrats to all on a superb State meet!!
