The Bits: October 24th Through November 8th

DA Bits:
Amid all the busyness of the end of October, Tommy's soccer season came to a close.  There was the parents vs. kids soccer match that had both Adam and I facing off against Tom (two of us Conlins played well, the third was fumbling around awkwardly--I'll let you decide who was who), a pizza and cheesecake picnic party with awards from Coach Adam (his favorite part of the season--not), and one final game that ended in the big W, making for 2 wins this season (a new record)!  It was a great season, Tommy, Adam and the Mad Minions!
Jamming for Grandma.

Succulents are hard to kill, but paper succulents are even better!  I love this one!

This is the best we could do for the pumpkin patch this year.

Fifth grade Pumpkin Science Day!  All the ooey-gooey science a bunch of 10- and 11-year-olds could ask for!
Grandma making us huuuuuge batches of caramel corn!  Oh yum!

Opening night of "Twelfth Night" at Rampart High School!  Fantastic job to all--Shakespeare would have been proud.  Our favorite part of the whole show was the amazing performance and flawless *line* delivery of the priest.  Bravo Zac and Rampart Theatre!

I had the best time at Kelli's Friendsgiving party.  She even made my most favorite brownies in the world!

Nana, Papa and the bros at Twelfth Night!  Six out of six reviewers agreed...it was a hit!  Even if 4 out of 6 didn't understand what anyone was saying.  Hee hee!  However, they laughed through all of Sir Toby's scenes--you don't need to understand the words when the characters are doing their job.  The young man that played that role really stole the show!

Cast photo!  We are so glad Zac has chosen to be a part of theatre in high school.  It's a great group of kids and he's having the best time!

Josh loved celebrating his buddy Jack at City Rock!
Nana and Papa finalizing the details of Tommy's 8th birthday trip!

It is official!  Ben is the fastest Freshman in Colorado across all divisions by 15 seconds!  Amazing!  Whoop!!!

Luke and Josh have both been asking to try fencing, so we found a local fencing club that, thankfully, meets near to our house.  They had their first session and both had a lot of fun!

Adam's brilliant solution when I wanted to see the election results, but didn't want to see what was happening on "This Is Us," a favorite show that we are behind a couple of episodes on.

When you have a before-school Thespian Committee meeting on a snowy, foggy 2-hour delay day and the last time you had this meeting someone hit your car as you drove through the parking lot, and just yesterday the car right behind you was hit by another car as you drove to school, you are just more comfortable asking Mom to drive you to school.  Smart kid!
