Ben constantly has me in stitches. He is just such a character, but not on purpose! I can't describe Ben in any other way than to say he's SO
Ben! Ben that has recently highlighted his
Benness the past two weeks in his library day check-out choices. Ben usually makes "interesting" choices, such as books we already own (and he knows it), or books on random topics (like hamsters or quasars), or books that I am sure he is the first to check out even though the book is 15 years old (because they are so odd!). But the past two check outs have taken the cake! Last week he checked out this HURKIN' book called
Favorite Poems Old and New: Selected for Boys and Girls. It was like 1000 pages long. Say what?! What a pick! Of all the books in the library. But we did have a fun time reading a bunch of them over the week, including one of my favorite poems
The Highwayman and Adam's,
Casey at the Bat. On Thursday, after returning the poetry book, he chose an encyclopedia. AN ENCYCLOPEDIA. Oh, Ben! I love your
youness!

What wonderful choices, Ben! Educating us all!
Lucas always gets those huge guinness world record books.
That's so funny! Elizabeth is the same way and the funniest I remember is her coming home from school library day with a detailed book of dog breeds :)
