That's Our Little Piggy!

Last night was Ben's first grade musical program. They performed the Three Piggy Opera and it was ADORABLE! Ben was chosen to play the Straw Piggy, and he did a great job. You could tell he was enjoying himself up there! The songs for the Three Piggy Opera are so cute and the kids seemed like they were having a great time. Aside from watching Ben perform, my favorite part of the show were the masks. The kids each made a papier mache pig mask, decorated it and then wore it during the performance. They were so colorful and sparkly and looked fantastic, much better than the homemade masks we all had to put together when Zach did the Three Piggy Opera right after we moved here two years ago. I haven't seen Ben's mask yet, since he was wearing the Straw Piggy costume, but I am excited to see it! What a fun night; GREAT job Ben!Mom's Brag Moment: When the music teacher called us to make sure we were going to be there, as Ben was playing the Straw Piggy, she said, "You sure have two musically talented boys there!" We're not sure how that happened, as neither Adam nor I should ever leave the saftey of the chorus! In the picture of the cast below, Ben is the first piggy on the left.
And here's a little video of Ben's big moment. He got to sing into the microphone even though the first graders are all singing together, if you listen carefully you can pick out his voice; he thought that was the best part of the night!
