{Two-year-old son, happily playing} "Mommy! Look my finger's red!"
{said with not a hint of panic...total calm} "Hmmm, you're bleeding a little."
{Looking in confusion at the finger, then...} "WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
{Looking in confusion at the child} "Luke, it's OK, it was bleeding before I said it was bleeding. Let's just wash it off."
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"
"Luke, you are so silly! Does it even hurt?"
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"
Darn paper cut. And darn mommy for ruining the fun by pointing out that the red was actually blood rather than magically appearing paint (that he had apparently been playing with for at least a couple of minutes based on the amount of blood painted on his other hand, his jammies and the paper he cut it on). After I pointed out that the red was actually blood, Luke was so distraught by the fact that he had been bleeding he wouldn't let me take a picture of him with his cool camo band-aid. He doesn't like band-aids much. Two-year-olds...such a crack-up!

Oh Funny Lukey. I'll have to remember the magically appearing paint with Max.
What a crack up! He's so itty-bitty and cute! Don't ya just love when they freak out over nothing? Funny little boy worlds.
