Z is for Zany, Zach loves to be silly and goofy bringing others a good chuckle.
A is for Academic, Zach loves learning and is so smart!
C is for Cuddly, He has always been such a snuggler, and still loves a good cuddle, even though he is getting older and doesn't always want to ask for one.
H is for Helpful, We always say how blessed our family is to have Zach as the oldest brother, he is so helpful with his brothers, guiding them and assisting where needed. And also helps out his teacher and classmates at school.
A is for Amiable, Zach is a wonderful friend, he loves to have friends, playing with his buddies is one of his favorite things to do.
R is for Radiant, Zach's smile shines and brings a smile to the face of others.
Y is for Yammer, Zach loves talking and singing and sharing himself with those he cares about.
Our first little baby turned seven-years-old today, and I think that has been more of a shock to me than turning 30 myself! It feels like we were bringing him home from the hospital just yesterday; a strong reminder of how time just zooms by. We were so madly in love with him from day one, and the first night home we didn't sleep a bit just so we could listen to him breathing all night. He was an easy-going baby (hence why Ben is only 20 months younger!), and continues to be an easy-going kid.
We are so impressed with Zach and his amazing personality. He makes us proud every day to be his parents, and we always have people telling us what a great kid he is (just today while Adam was dropping Zach off at school Zach's PE teacher said what a delight he is to have in class). He does his best to make good choices, what more can we ask than that? I love having conversations with him, just to know what he is thinking because that mind is so clever! Also, he tries so hard to be a big kid. As an example of his desire to sound grown up even when he doesn't really understand what he's talking about, this is a conversation that occurred this evening:
Zach: Mom and Dad, I have a crush on Madison.
Adam and I almost simultaneously: You do, do you?
Zach: Yeah, and Evie has a crush on Isaac. (Kids from class)
Us (now understanding where he got this one): Ohhhhh.
Ben: What's a crush?
Zach: You will find out when you are older.
Ben (more forcefully): What's a crush?!
Zach: You tell him, Mom.
We love you Zach! Happy Seventh Birthday Buddy!

i think that when our kids get older and find out just exactly what it means to have their stories posted on our blogs and that now the WHOLE WIDE WORLD knows their business ... they might rebel and start posting all the silly things we say and do! that will be scary! Zach is such a cutie and i love having him in my primary class - he's SO smart and SO sweet and i really appreciate the light that he brings to the room - let alone our little class! Thanks Zach - we love ya, Dude!
