Luke: "Yeah, mommies are important. They make the babies. If there were no mommies in the world, there would be no babies, and then there would be no people."
Me: "Well, daddies are pretty important to the world having babies too."
Luke: "Daddies make the babies too?"
Me: {shoot. what to say, what to say...? keep it simple.} "Daddies do help. They have a part in making babies."
Luke: "They help make the babies? You mean like building a robot?"
Me: {laughing really hard} "Uh, huh! Kind of like that."
Thankfully, at this point, Luke, deciding that robot-babies were way cooler than investigating further into the role of daddies in the baby-making process, shot off on a robot-baby tangent. PHEW!
